We know how to find your soft spot

We have a passion for simple design and tasteful typography. We surround ourselves with the technology and innovation that enhances the creativity needed for stunning design.
As with any job, its important to know which tools will get the job done right. Currently, one of our favorite tools is Ruby on Rails. Rails allows us to develop and deploy apps quickly. We can begin making revisions instantly, tailoring the application to our clients’ needs. Clients love the fact that we can give them working prototypes after just a few days on the project.
We love building and designing blogs too. We feel Wordpress is a powerful tool for creating and maintaining custom blogs. For smaller projects Wordpress often times can be used as an easily upgraded and versatile content management system as well.
The interaction between consumer web behavior and design direction is rapidly evolving. We have the opportunity to connect with consumers and test designs more regularly with apps and services such as Silver Back and Litmus. These apps and services allow us to verify that our designs generate the response our clients are looking for.
Because we use an agile development and design strategy, we are able to work much closer with our clients and deliver more accurate information about the status and timing of projects. Really, we know how much of a disappointment it is to have projects go over schedule and budget. Let’s just say it’s not the best feeling. Working with New Gold Leaf feels a lot better.
We advocate open source development and creative commons licenses. We are constantly experimenting with the latest social and mobile applications.
As a creative team, some of the applications we build aren’t created for a certain client. We are constantly developing ideas as a team. If we think of a fun idea we’ll implement it as an experiment and a chance to learn new techniques. We’ve got some very exciting side projects we are looking forward to launching this year.
